Long weekend off
A Monday night cancellation by the club in Danbury, CT forced us in to having a long weekend. I personally have mixed feelings about a long weekend. Once you’re out on the road and in tour mode, any extended stops feel like a hiccup in the schedule. Not to say that the weekend wasn’t fun….
I rode back to Great Barrington with Nate after the NYC show, he went to his cousins wedding, and I went home to take care of a slough of different tasks that had been building up while I was on the road.
Nate got a taste of small town America when, at two completely random and unrelated times he ran in to me at opposite ends of town with neither of us having prior knowledge of where the other was. In my town, that’s a very common occurrence, but sometimes visitors are miffed by it.
With the show in Danbury being cancelled, I had an extra day at home to finish up a project that I had been working on for some time. By the end of the weekend though, I was itching to be back on the bus, and keep the tour going.
