Is the Future of Energy Able to Be Held in the Palm of Your Hand?

So, I saw this article on University of Texas Arlington’s website about a new technology called ‘micro-windmills’. They are about 1/10 the size of a single grain of rice, and, when daisy chained together on say, a phone case, theoretically have the ability to charge up your phone’s battery, or on larger scale, be used to collect energy to power things like your homes lights.

I’m thinking these would be a perfect addition on our bands tour bus, (then our drummer could play PS3 all day, all night….) or any vehicle for that matter. I will say, if these micro machines wind up on tons of cell phone cases, I’m looking forward to the myriad of people waving their hands like idiots trying to get a few extra minutes of charge on their phones.

Dreamgirl- Live in Portugal- Live Trax Vol. 10

Probably the poppiest Dave Matthews Band song, there’s always been a lot of grumbling among the hardcore fans whenever it makes a set list. Especially when the band was playing it at almost every show. My rebuttal was always that, “When DMB stops touring, you’ll be begging for even ‘Dreamgirl’…” Sure enough, when the band took the year off, I saw numerous, ‘I’d kill to even just hear Dreamgirl’ comments.
I feel that it’s a solid cross-over song, that helped bring some new blood into the fold. This version is pretty by the book, proving that sometimes less is more.
